Curtiss MF Boat
The Curtiss Company and Coast Guard records reveal that between 1920 and 1926 several Curtiss MF training flying boats, an updated version of the earlier Curtiss F Boat, were used by the Coast Guard in the development of their ideas of the practicability of using an aircraft to spot derelicts, missing vessels, patrolling beaches, providing medical assistance and extend the "eyes" of the ubiquitous Coast Guard cutter fleet.
