Cutter History:

A wooden motorboat purchased on 5 October 1918 and originally named Catherine. The cutter was renamed Venture on 16 December 1918. The cutter was stationed at Chincoteague, VA. The order changing the name to AB-16 was apparently issued after the craft was sold.
