Master Chief Petty Officer Christopher Hutto assumed the duties of the Command Master Chief (CMC) for the Operational Logistics Command, Norfolk, Virginia on April 30, 2026. In this role, MCPO Hutto serves as the principal advisor to the commander on all matters and initiatives pertaining to all Coast Guard members and their families throughout the Operational Logistics Command enterprise. Additionally, MCPO Hutto is an organizational advocate and communication medium for the enlisted workforce through the greater Coast Guard senior enlisted leadership network.
Master Chief Hutto is a native of Woodruff, S.C., and enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1998. His previous Command Senior Enlisted Leader assignments include the Maritime Law Enforcement Academy in Charleston, SC, and the Maritime Safety and Security Team Kings Bay (91108) in St. Marys, Ga, where he also served as the Engineer Petty Officer.

Master Chief Hutto’s personal awards include one Meritorious Service Medal, four Coast Guard Commendation Medals and two Coast Guard Achievement Medals, as well as the permanent Cutterman and Advanced Boat Force Operations insignias. He is also the 2007 recipient of the Coast Guard’s Enlisted Person of the Year Award.
Master Chief Hutto is a proud graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 211 and the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course Class 70. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in management with a minor in psychology from the American Military University.
