History:
A chartered brig that saw service out of Charleston, South Carolina, until the cutter South Carolina was fit for duty. Unanimity entered service in July, 1789 and served through late September of that year.
She may have been involved in an "incident" with the British vessel Musketo, where shots were apparently fired. Unanimity ran aground at some point. Apparently the vessel was not a "proper cruizer" and some material may have been taken off her for use on the new cutter.
