Cutter History:

Search was one of two 11-ton, iron-hulled steam launches acquired in 1869, the other being DiscoverSearch was initially assigned to duty in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was transferred to Baltimore, Maryland in 1877.  She was sold in 1896.
