Lilac: a shrub found in Europe and North America noted for its large panicles of fragrant pink-purple flowers.
Performance & Endurance:
The steam launch Lilac entered service in 1903 on the lower Mississippi River. No record of her exists after 1904 when she may have been renamed to avoid confusion with the 1892 Lighthouse Tender Lilac.
