SM2 Alphonzo Barbour, USCG (Ret.)

An article about SM2 Alphonzo Barbour, USCG (Ret.), a 100-year-old African American USCG veteran who saw service in the Coast Guard after enlisting in 1924 as a stewardsmate. Article was written by then-YNCS Vince Patton, USCG. It was published in the September 1992 issue of the Commandant's Bulletin (Issue 9-92), pp. 18-20.
