Coast Guardsman Cesar Romero
CESAR ROMERO SHOWS MOM HIS SOUVENIRS FROM SAIPAN. "Mom, This is a Jap[anese] cap." Coast Guardsman Cesar Romero, Boatswain's Mate Second Class, and former movie star, proudly exhibits his battle souvenirs to his mother, Mrs. Maria Romero. The Jap[anese] cap and gun came from the Saipan and Tinian invasions in the Marianas. Coast Guardsman Romer served nine months aboard a Coast Guard-Manned invasion transport which landed troops and supplies at both Saipan and Tinian. Romero is on leave awaiting a new assignment."
