CGC Spencer vs. U-175, 1943
Official Caption: "CHASTENED BY BOMBS AND A DEEP SEA DUCKING: The arrogance of the 'master race' knocked out of them, Nazi seamen eagerly grasp mugs of coffee offered them by Coast Guardsmen aboard the combat cutter which sank their submarine in a mid-Atlantic engagement. The half drowned Germans were picked up, given warm blankets, cigarettes and coffee, as they learned the American way of treating prisoners of war."
