An important history of the Coast Guard and Revenue Cutter Service use of small arms and training with small arms since its inception. It was researched and written by Master Chief William R. Wells, II, USCG (Ret.), one of the most influential and important scholars of Coast Guard history. It was published by the Coast Guard Historian's Office in 1993.
